Official Rules

  1. Submissions must be from an installer who works for an authorized MTX Retailer. The contest is open to legal U.S. and Canada residents (excluding residents of Quebec) 18 years of age and older as of the Start Date with a valid driver’s license (or passport in the case of a winner from Canada).. Employees of MTX, Mitek’s affiliates, subsidiaries, dealers, and the immediate family and household members of each, are not eligible to participate. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
  2. Installs must have some MTX content, either Amplifiers, Subwoofers and/or speakers shown in the photos. Submit at least 3 photos of an installation along with a maximum 100 word description of the system, including the year/make/model of the vehicle, and what MTX products were used in the installation. Photos must be submitted through MTX online form in electronic format. Once the photo(s) is submitted, participant agrees to give MTX the ownership of the photo(s).
  3. Prizes are as follows: All cash prizes are presented in US Dollars.
    1st Place Winner
    2 round trip tickets and a hotel room for the 2008 CES in Las Vegas, approximate value $1,200.
    2nd Place Winner
    Thunder 9500 (T9512D) SledgeHammer Enclosure, MSRP $874.95.
    3rd Place Winner
    TXC6.1 Thunder Axe High End Component Speaker System, MSRP $499.95.
  4. Monthly Prize
    $250 cash monthly prize. Only monthly winners will be eligible to win the First, Second and Third Prizes.
  5. There will be a monthly winner drawn during each of the months of February through September 2007. Each month's entries must be submitted by the 25th day of that month. The monthly winners will be announced on or before the 4th day of the following month.
  6. Starting the first day of SEMA 2007, visitors to the MTX booth will be able vote for their favorite install out of the eight monthly winners. On November 1, 2007, online voting will begin on www.mtxrides.com for consumers to vote for their favorite install out of the eight monthly winners. The first, second and third place winners will be chosen based on number of votes received from the consumer and SEMA voting process. The first, second and third place winners will be announced on or before December 4, 2007.
  7. Each install is eligible for only the month in which it is submitted. The same install may be submitted during more than one month.
  8. Multiple install entries from the same person are allowed each month. Install teams are allowed to enter together, but only one prize will be awarded for each entry. The winning entry may be presented in various MTX publications including mtx.com, advertisements, company newsletters and promotions.
  9. How to enter to win: To become eligible to win MTX's 2007 Installer contest, simply go to mtxrides.com, complete the brief form, attach photo(s) and press "submit". Photo(s) will then be entered in that month's contest. Contest closes at midnight, MST, on the 25th of the month for February- September 2007.
  10. Winners will be notified by phone at the location of the MTX Authorized retailer that is their employer. Installer must work for an authorized MTX dealer to be eligible. To be eligible to win the monthly contest, the installer must be employed by an authorized MTX dealer when the winner is announced. Grand Prize winners must still be employed by the same authorized MTX dealer as when they submitted their original entry.
  11. Judging for the monthly contests will be done by MTX staff, including MTX's Master Installers. All decisions are final. Principals, employees, and manufacturer's reps of MTX and their immediate families are not eligible. All federal, state and local laws apply.
  12. By entering this contest, each entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of the Master Installers. MTX and mtx.com are not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the contest. MTX and mtx.com assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of entries. MTX and mtx.com are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer systems, servers or providers, computer equipment or software on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or combination thereof, including injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or downloading materials in this contest. MTX reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the contest should a virus, bug, computer or other problem beyond the control of MTX corrupt the administration, security or proper execution of the contest. Entries become the property of MTX and mtx.com and will not be returned. MTX reserves the right to change the terms of this contest at any time.
  13. MTX and mtx.com reserve the right to disqualify any entry determined to be the result of tampering with the mtx.com system or in violation of the letter and spirit of the official rules. Any use of programmed, automatic or scripted entry methods will void all associated entries and individuals using such methods may be disqualified for future entry opportunity.
  14. Winners must sign a release prior to receiving their prize. All unclaimed prizes will be forfeited. Odds of winning will depend on the number of qualified entries. MTX may substitute another prize of equal value, in the event of non-availability of an announced prize. Prizes may be mailed at the discretion of MTX. MTX is not responsible for the failure or tardiness of prizes delivered via US Postal Service. Otherwise, prizes must be claimed in person, unless otherwise specified. Proper identification (valid driver's license, passport, state ID, military ID required. In certain "unique situations", a designated representative will be allowed to accept prize for the winner. Written authorization from the winner including representative's name, ID, and a photocopy of the winner's driver's license is required. MTX will qualify what constitutes a "unique situation." All winners must be 18 years of age or older. All prizes are non-transferable and void where prohibited by law. Winners understand and agree that they are responsible for any and all taxes incurred on prizes received. MTX assumes no responsibility or liability for damages loss or injury resulting from acceptance or use of the prize. All travel arrangements will be made by Mitek. Departure airport, dates of travel, and choice of accommodations are subject to Mitek’s sole and absolute discretion.
  15. Release and Indemnification. In exchange for the right to participate in the Contest, each participant agrees to release and indemnify MTX, and its officers, directors, agents, parent companies, subsidiaries and employees (the "Released Parties"), from any and all claims, demands and/or causes of action of any nature or kind whatsoever, whether presently known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, that arise out of the participant's participation in the contest.
  16. By entering, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of MTX, which are final and binding in all respects.
